Kula had two presentations accepted at the 2025 International Archives Conference held in Barcelona, Spain October 27-30.
Director Matt Huculak and University Librarian Jonathan Bengtson presented a “Co-Lab” session in which global participants were asked to envision and share how libraries and archives can work more closely together in post-custodial / co-custodial, cultural heritage contexts.
Dr. Nathaniel Brunt, Kula Aspiration 2030 Postdoctoral Fellow, and Marc Webb, UPENN doctoral student, presented on The Sersal Project as part of the Kula Conflict Aftermath Digital Archives Project.
“This major event brought together over 2,000 participants from across the world and was made possible thanks to the collaboration between the ICA, the Ajuntament de Barcelona, the Diputació de Barcelona, the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Ministry of Culture of Spain, and the Associació de Professionals de l’Arxivística i la Gestió de Documents de Catalunya” (https://www.ica.org/congresses-conferences/congress-barcelona-2025/).
