We’re bringing The Rabbits back to UVic.
Hundred Rabbits is an artist collective that documents low-tech solutions with the hope of building a more resilient future. Their work develops concepts related to permacomputing, a community of practice oriented around issues of resilience and regenerativity in computer and network technology inspired by permaculture. Their minimalistic. sustainable approach to computing explores alternatives to mainstream narratives of endless growth, focussing instead on small-scale, human-centered applications of technology.
“That which cannot be repaired is already broken”
Their talk will explore the genesis of their approach, and how their minimalistic, comprehensible computing systems enhance the long-term preservability of their artworks.
Friday, March 6th. 1:30-4:30pm
